Product Description

For many people, feather and down fillings are not affordable. Microsuede feather filling is increasingly becoming popular in comforters. These fillers may not be as warm and luxurious like that of down fillers, but they do have their charms. The microsuede feather comforter set comes with a comforter and a couple of matching pillow shams. They are available with a few color options. 40 ounce fill weight makes the comforter lightweight. 100% waterfowl feather filling is the speciality of this microsuede comforter. Queen size measures 86” x 86” while pillow shams measure 20” x 26”. This comforter is washable only in commercial washing machines. Hence, dry cleaning is the best choice for average home users inorder to maintain the warmth and luxury of this comforter. Reviews for Microsuede feather comforter set is a mixed bag. An overall 3 star rating for the comforter indicates that it is a popular choice, but it is not so very great. Users of this comforter expressed their happiness concerning the price of the comforter. It is next to impossible to find such a warm comforter for such a low price. Quality is okay, if not so great according to reviewers. The comforter is comfortable to sleep at night, but many people uncomfortable about the moving around fills. Cross stitching holds fills in place, but at places where these crossed boxes meet, the fill seems to get collected. However, this can be fixed by swiftly moving your hands in the direction where you want the fill. The comforter seems to exhibit lot of static which can be removed when it is washed a couple of times. You need to be careful while washing because any harsh move can result in feathers poking out of the comforter and spreading all around. When used with duvets, this can be the best affordable microsuede queen comforter for you.

I have had this set for about 2 months now. It looks great, and for the price I am thrilled with it. Some things to think about: I bought the king size set for my queen size bed. I am glad I did. The King size drapes just enough over the sides to give adeqate coverage for my thick mattress and most of the box spring, so that only the nice wooden bedrail shows. The King set comes with standard size shams. This was not a problem for me, but should be noted. The down fill tends to gather towards the center of our spread between my husband and myself(it's not sewn in to squares, but rather the stitching is crosses that would form squares if they connected, so the fill can move around. This is easy to "fix" by swiftly running your hand firmly in the diretion you want to 'push' the fill. It evens out in three or four swishes when making the bed. We have the set in Camel... and it matches quite nicely though not exactly with the Pinzon Flannel sheets in Camel also available from Amazon. If I see this at the 35 price again, I will surely purchase another one for backup... at that price I don't expect it to last forever-- but I can afford to change more often!

***UPDATE... the cat got sick on this and so it needed to be washed quickly- and I did so in the washing machine and dried it in the drier. I'm not sure if it happened during the wash or the dry cycle, but I ended up with a substantial amount of feathers poking out. It was enough so that I purchased similar product on Amazon with a poly stuffing rather than the down. I still have this for backup, but the feathers were bugging me.
